Fund raising campaign forRam Mandir launched in Sikkim

Shri Ram JanmabhoomiTeerthKshetra [SRJTK], Sikkim has started its campaign, Shri Ram JanmabhoomiMandirNirman-NidhiSamarpanAbhiyan to raise funds for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on the occasion of MakarSankranti on Thursday.

Governor, Ganga Prasad launched the campaign in a function held at Raj Bhawan today.

Addressing a press conference here this afternoon, SRJTK Sikkim coordinator, DrMadan Mani Dhakal stated that Ram Mandir at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya has been finally possible after a struggle of 492 years and many years of fight in the court of law. He mentioned that the foundation stone of the mandir was laid by the Prime Minister NarendraModi on 05 August 2020.

“Many people have been coming forward to build the mandir but it has been decided to involve contribution of every person of the country in the construction of the Mandir to give them a sense of belongingness whenever they visit the Mandir. Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is a national asset of the country,” he said.

On the same, he mentioned that SRJTK has startedcollecting voluntary contributions in the country for the construction of the temple in Ayodhya wherein people can contribute any amount.

SRJTK finance head, SomnathPandey mentioned that donation against coupons of Rs 10, Rs 100 and Rs 1,000 will be accepted and a receipt will be provided to donors who want to donate more than Rs 1,000. He mentioned that SRJTK teams will go to every village of Sikkim during this 15-day campaign and hopes to reach out to atleast 50,000 families in the State under this campaign.
