Gangtok, 07 Oct:

Girish And The Chronicles [GATC], the rock band born in Gangtok and now counted among the leading touring bands of country, is all set to perform at UrRock Festival, Switzerland, next month. A GATC press communiqué shares that the band is looking forward to unleashing its brand of rock n roll energy in Europe and is also excited about gigs it has been booked for in Belgium and Germany after the UrRock Festival date.

GATC will be rubbing shoulders with rock legends in Switzerland, the line-up for which includes Nazareth.

The band celebrates its 12th anniversary this month, and will be keeping a hectic schedule come November. GATC has already been invited and booked for the HRH festival to be held in Manchester, UK in 2022, it is informed.

The pandemic has been brutal for everyone, and performers are only now emerging from nearly two years of cancelled shows and lost opportunities. To their credit, GATC has used the hiatus rather well and recently finished album production of their third album and are working on the music videos for the same. The album will be released by record label giant, Frontiers Music if Italy, which is home to some of the biggest names in the Rock and Metal world such as Whitesnake, Mr Big, Deff Leppard, Toto, Journey, Extreme, Uriah Heep, Sebastian Bach, Warrant etc.

GATC also recently released a music video for, "She's Heavy Metal," from their second album, a heavy metal treat.

GATC frontman, Girish Pradhan, has also been keeping busy with his project, Firstborne, which is a supergroup with Chris Adler (Lamb of God, Megadeth fame) on drums, James LoMenzo (Whitelion, Megadeth fame) on bass, and soft shred pioneer Myrone on guitars. They recently released a single "The Bidding" recently following up on the self-titled EP consisting of 5 songs a few months earlier.
