Gov and CM meet Akhil Bhartiya Dayanand Sewashram Sangh


New Delhi, 19 Jan (IPR):

The Akhil Bhartiya Dayanand Sewashram Sangh called a meeting with Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad along with Chief Minister of Sikkim,Prem Singh Tamang at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, today.


The president of Akhil Bharitya Dayanand Sewashram Sangh, J.K. Khattar, the general secretary Arya Pratinidhi Sabha (Delhi) Vinay Arya and the executive members of the Sangh thanked the Government of Sikkim for supporting and granting around one acre of land for the construction of one hundred and fifty bedded hostel for the students of Sikkim in Gangtok.


The proposed Maharshi Dayanand hostel at Gangtok will house 150 aspirational students from rural parts of Sikkim who cannot afford educational requirements in the State capital. The hostel will function as a co-educational structure catering to both girls and boys students. The Sangh will cover the tuition fees and other requirements for the students. The construction of the hostel will begin soon.


Furthermore, the Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan (New Delhi) has offered ten (10) seats for Indian Administrative Services aspirants from Sikkim. The Chief Minister's office in Collaboration with the Education Department through Kangchenjunga State University will select the students for training of IAS aspirants every year.


The Governor and the Chief Minister of Sikkim expressed gratitude to the Akhil Bharatiya Dayanand Sewashram Sangh and the Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan for coming up to support the Sikkim Government and the Educational Sector in Sikkim.


The meeting was also attended by the Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. S.D. Dhakal.
