Gangtok, 01 Jul:

Gyantok, an online platform which aims to provide free access to high-quality holistic education to students of Sikkim and the neighbouring hills, has announced the development of a platform which will provide high-quality CBSE Class XII content in Nepali-English for free. This can be accessed at

“We have started with content for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. We are in the process of developing content for Biology. In the near future, we will be adding content for CBSE Class 10, CBSE Class XII Commerce, ICSE Class XII Sciences, ICSE Class XII Commerce, ICSE Class X, NEET, JEE, Olympiad and Foundation Courses,” a press release informs.

The release informs that to get started with Gyantok, students should visit to register or login directly through Facebook or Google and then enrol in a course of their choice.

In the near future, the organisation envisions scaling this scope and including content for competitive exams, K-12, and also diversifying into other sectors including sports, music, theatre, skill development and literature.

“We want Gyantok to be a go-to platform for students for mentorship, learning any skills in the field of their interest and getting the right kind of exposure before deciding on their career choice. We want our students to be able to compete at the national level. We want them to choose a career of their interest and break from the chain of taking career options which they are not interested in,” the release adss.

“In addition to this, we also realized that the internet connectivity in our region is not always stable. Therefore, live classes are not an option for them. Hence, the ideal option would be to Gyantok,” it is added. The platform as pre-recorded lectures which can be accessed by students to suit their convenience.

“We grew up like any other kid of this region. We had limited access to information, finite exposure and little knowledge. We didn’t have mentors to guide and show us the direction. We often stumbled, made mistakes, failed and learned about life and career the hard way. We are determined to change this. We aspire to provide budding young minds easy access to information, proper guidance, diverse experience and varied exposure, and empower them to choose correct and informed paths,” the release adds.
