Heavy rainfall damages newly constructed walls in South

Gangtok, 01 Apr: Due to heavy rainfall on 17 Mar, 2021 at around 9:00am a fully constructed and completed Plum Concrete wall at Sim Kharka Village, South Sikkim, length measuring 120.00 Mtr (approx.) completely collapsed due to land slide and rock falling along under construction road NH-510, being carried out by S&P Infrastructure Developers (Pvt) Ltd, a press release informs. On 10 Mar, 2021 at around 9:00am another fully constructed and completed Plum Concrete wall at Sangey Village near Sim Kharka, South Sikkim, length measuring 80.00 Mtr (approx.) was completely damaged by land slide.

On the same day, at around 3:30pm the fully constructed and completed Plum Concrete wall at

Chirag village, Rabong, South Sikkim, length measuring 80.00Mtr (approx.) completely collapsed due

to a land slide and falling rocks along under construction road NH-510, being carried out by S&P

Infrastructure Developers (Pvt) Ltd.
