Indian Army, CRH & Health Dept organize health camp in Kupup

Gangtok, 06 Jun:

Black Cat Division of Trishakti Corps, Indian Army deployed in South-East Sikkim in collaboration with Central Referral Hospital (CRH) Gangtok & Health Department, Government of Sikkim, conducted a Mega Medical Camp at Kupup for local villagers on 05 Jun 2022.

The event was organised at the Village Community Hall which has been renovated with the effort of the Indian Army.

During the camp, 571 civilians from villages of Kupup, Gnathang, Thegu, Sherathang & Yakla were provided free medical checkup, screening & medicines by specialists from Army, CRH Gangtok & Sikkim Govt.

Speaking on the occasion, the General Officer Commanding, Black Cat Division emphasized on the importance of strong civil-military bond and assured the civil population that the Indian Army will always stand strong alongside the people.

Mr Nama Lepcha, the village headman, expressed gratitude towards the initiative of the Army and reaffirmed the strong bonding and support that the village has with the Indian Army since ages.
