New cases back to zero in Sikkim
Gangtok, 19 Apr:
Sikkim’s count of confirmed cases of Covid-19 remained paused at 39,148 on Tuesday with no new infections reported in the State in the past 24 hours.
All the 163 samples screened yesterday returned negative. On a still more reassuring note, the State’sCoviddeath toll also continued to hold still at 452, a number which has held since 27 March which was when the last Covid death was recorded her.
As per the Daily Report of Covid-19 in Sikkim issued by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme of Health Department on Tuesday morning, there are currently three active Covid cases in Sikkim, only one of whom is admitted in hospital.
On the vaccination front, Sikkim administered 152 doses of corBEvax [151 first dose and 01 second dose] to children aged between 12 to 14 years and 70 doses of Covaxin [30 first dose & 40 second dose] to those aged between 15 to 18 on Monday.
Likewise, a total of 33 persons [02 first dose & 31 second dose] received their Covishield shots and 31 their precautionary third dose yesterday.
