SDF CEC meets in Jorethang, 18 join SDF

Sikkim Democratic Front party’s central executive committee convened a meeting here at its party office in Jorethang today.

Around 500 party supporters gathered in the meeting from East, West and South districts wherein, 18 new members from South and West districts joined the party.

Sikkim Democratic Front president, Pawan Chamling, in his address, responded to the various allegations made against him, his family and party members by Sikkim Krantikari Morcha president, PS Tamang during SKM’s mass joining programme held inSumbuk on 04 March.

"I shall remain in politics as long as people want me to lead," said Pawan Chamling in response to Mr Tamang’s suggestion that he should retire.

He stated that if people want to save Sikkim and their rights, they need to choose a party with ideals and principles.

After the SKM government was formed, it brought five bills namely NPR, NRC, CAA 2008, One Nation One Ration Card, and NIC to Sikkim which will directly affect Article 371F, he alleged.

He made various other allegations against the SKM government regarding finance, law&order and power misuse.
