Sikkim gets one new 2nd Dan Taekwondoblack belt and three 1st Dans
Gangtok, 03 Feb: Sikkim Amateur Taekwondo Association [SATA] held its Black Belt Dan promotion examination [under the authority of National Taekwondo body] here on Tuesday. Ram Kumar Chettri,
Parash Rai and Raja Rai were accordingly promoted to 1st Dan Black Belt, while Peggila Bhutia
was promoted to 2nd Dan Black Belt, informs a SATA press release. The release mentions that the national federation has appointed Trilok Subba [7th Dan black belt], who is also the SATA general secretary, as the examiner and Rajen Subba [4th Dan black belt], who is also SATA joint secretary,
as observer for the examination. It is added that certificates have come from Kukkiwon, the World
Taekwondo Headquarters in South Korea.
