State Sports Academy graduates launch Academy Knights Foundation

Gangtok, 22 Aug: A group of like-minded footballers have come together to establish a football foundation for the betterment of football and footballers. Academy Knights Foundation for U-21 boys

was launched here on Sunday and the official jersey launched by officials and players of the

foundation.Academy Knights Foundation founder Palzor Lepcha informed that the AKF aims to produce more professional footballers from the State. He further shared plans of the foundation to develop a

professional footballing attitude among local players and help them find place in big professional clubs

within and outside the State. AKF comprises of graduates from the State Sports Academy of 2014 batch and a few senior footballers of the State. Mr Lepcha thanked YG Collections and Sikkim Aakraman FC and Sikkim Himalayan SC for extending support and assistance to the foundation. Membership to AKF is open to all.
