Super-specialists attend topatients at Namchi medical camp
Namchi, 28 Jan: A 4-day ‘Super Specialist Medical Camp,’ including a “Mega Laproscopy Camp” with
Dr Bikram Kharka, Dr DB Bista and Dr Varun Kumar, organized by the Health Department is underway at the District Hospital, Namchi. The camp, organized on the directions of the Chief Minister, got underway on Wednesday, and with this launch came the announcement that such camps will be held
every month. CMO, Namchi District Hospital, Dr DC Sharma, informed that specialists from several disciplines will be attending to patients here. At the camp, there is Dr Sangay Lamtha for Gastroenterology, a cardio clinic by Dr DP Rai, neuro surgery consultations by Dr Roshan Tamang, and
fistula surgery by Dr Choden Norbu and Dr. Neeraj Bhattarai. The camp also marked the introduction
of laproscopy machines at the hospital, a function for which South Zilla Adhakshya, Tshering Dem Bhutia, was the chief guest. The CMO informs that the newly installed laproscopy machine and the facility readied for it will attend to 12 patients at the medical camp. Future camps, he adds, will bring specialists based on the requirements of patients at the hospital.
