VIT-AP University Celebrates University day

VIT-AP University celebrated its fourth University day on a colourful note virtually on Sunday, 06 Jul, 2021.

Adityanath Das, Chief Secretary to Govt, Govt of Andhra Pradesh attended as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the gathering he said that VIT stands for its quality teaching and innovative techniques to make future generation knowledgeable and competent enough to face global competition.

Founder & Chancellor VIT, Dr G Viswanathan told that students are the future of the country and expressed his happiness that in the short span VIT-AP has provided world class infrastructure for the 4728 students from 28 states and six countries and Faculty from 17 states and foreign country along with 65 clubs and chapters to keep students thoughtful and resourceful in attaining the practical knowledge and creating holistic education even though the last year was done virtually.

Vice president, Sekar Viswanathan, VIT-AP University said that skilled youth with ethics and values is important for the development and the progress of nation. Students, Researchers, Professors and staff were awarded for their performances. 71 Academic awards, 13 Student Achievement awards, 17 awards to faculty, six awards to Staff and appreciation certificates in academic, research, co-curricular, special achievements were given.

Executive Director, Dr Sandhya Pentareddy, VIT-AP University called the students, staff and faculty to work with heart and soul to achieve happiness in work and life as well. This takes you to excellence in whatever you do.

Vice-chancellor, Dr SV Kota Reddy, VIT-AP University said that during the last four years University has been able to expand connections through 20 MoU’s with foreign university and Industry tie-ups along with best in class infrastructure. These collaborations from all the Schools with various partners help us understand the need of the industry and also give students the required exposure to subjects that are the need of the present and immediate future.

Registrar, Dr CLV Sivakumar, Asst Director-Student Welfare, Dr Anupama Namburu, Faculties, Students and staffs were also virtually present.
