The Sikkim State Commission for Women, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, organised a health camp for women inmates and prison personnel at Sikkim State Jail, Rongyek on 13 Feb, a press release informs.
The health camp was conducted under the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) programme by doctors and support staff from Rongyek Urban Health and Wellness Centre.
The programme was attended by Chairperson, Sikkim State Commission for Women, Tan Doma Bhutia, members Rupa Mangar, Subarna Pradhan and Member Secretary. Additional Superintendent of Police, Sabitri Pradhan, Prisons, was also present.
The chairperson informed the participants that the State Commission for Women under the aegis of the National Commission for Women has been conducting various programme including such health camps.
