OSD to the Chief Minister (Political Affairs), Karma Subba, and Press Secretary to the CM, Yougan Tamang, met Namchi Singithang MLA Satish Chandra Rai, and the organizing team of the Sikkim Kalakaar Bharosa Sammelan in Namchi today.
The purpose of the meeting was to participate in the ongoing preparation for the mega event scheduled to take place in Namchi from March 2-4. The meeting was attended by the organisers Voice Founder/ Chief Coordinator Sanjay Dipali Rai, Mingma D Lepcha, Sushma Chettri, Babita Limboo, Suren Rai, Rekha Gurung, Anwar Das, John Tamang and Sarad Rai.
The Sikkim Kalakaar Bharosa Sammelan is being organized under the chief patronage of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, with the former MLA (Namchi Singithang) Krishna Kumari Rai as chief advisor, and the under the guidance of MLA Satish Chandra Rai.
The event is being organized by the Voice organization from Namchi, with support from the SKM Cultural Wing.
The meeting focused on discussing the promotion of the event, which is aimed specifically at the artists of Sikkim, as well as the aesthetic enhancement of Namchi town during the sammelan and the coordination among various artists from the region.
The Press Secretary and OSD (Political Affairs) emphasized the significance of the event in fostering the growth and development of Sikkim’s artistic community. They also highlighted the Chief Minister and Ms Krishna Rai’s recognition of the vital contributions of artists to the state’s cultural landscape and the various initiatives being undertaken to support and promote the creative economy in Sikkim.
MLA Satish Chandra Rai along with all the organisers have been working tirelessly to ensure the success of the mega event, closely monitoring the preparations and coordinating with various government departments to ensure everything runs smoothly.
