Sikkim Manipal College of Nursing [SMCON], Sikkim Manipal University, hosted the 5th East Zone Conference of the Nurse Researchers Society for Innovation (EZNRSI 2025) on the theme “Nursing & Sustainable Development Goals: Research and Practice Priorities” today.
The East Zone Conference is being held in Sikkim for the first time, the two day conference bringing together nursing professionals, researchers, and scholars to discuss and explore the role of nursing in achieving SDGs.
Organizing Secretary of SMCON, SMU, Barkha Devi, in her media address, emphasized the crucial role of nursing in achieving the SDGs, while highlighting the eminent speakers from both India and abroad invited by SMU for the event.
The conference had Health Minister GT Dhungel as chief guest, alongside Keynote Speaker, Dr Assumo Beevi TM, and other distinguished dignitaries.
